We are delighted to host the book presentation and collective reading of Radical Rituals - a series of publications that we have had in our program for some time and which move along the 45° north latitude to explore collective practices and commoning projects.

By offering a diverse range of housing typologies, we prioritize accessibility, multiplicity, and inclusion.

What does the future of architectural practice look like? The present provides an answer to this question. An answer is provided by those who are shaping tomorrow today, who will have to live with the consequences of today's actions for longer than others.

How are crises changing the practice of architecture? forty five degrees from Berlin are looking for answers beyond the conventional idea of architecture by bringing together everyday practices in connection to global narratives through performative and spatial elements.

This transformative two-week program took place in the breathtaking yet vulnerable landscapes of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Pompeii and Maiori on the Amalfi Coast. The program is a collaboration of the University of Bamberg, the Fraunhofer institute and the Department for Continuing Education of Oxford University.

Through art-driven explorations of science and technology, ReSilence challenges established conceptions of the urban landscape, mobility and anthropic ecologies through sound.

The school’s main focus is to explore water as a shared resource in the northwestern Caucasus region of Svaneti, Samegrelo, and Abkhazia, which are connected and separated by the Enguri River

The issue of ‘Dwelling’ which is the core topic of We Will Design 2024, will be addressed in all its complexity in CASE, a series of events curated by Erica Petrillo.

After four years of our research on European landscapes, we hope to share with you the second iteration of Radical Rituals 45°N 1°W – 45°N 7°E. Edited by Berta Gutiérrez Casaos, Alkistis Thomidou, and Elise Misao Hunchuck, it was beautifully designed by Katharina Hetzeneder and Cecilia Breña, and published by PUNCH Bucharest.

Our studio has been selected as part of ArchDaily's 2023 New Practices, an annual survey aimed at showcasing those who adress the ever-growing challanges of our times and take architecture to new directions.

Research-focused office forty five degrees set out to explore these grass-roots initiatives, to meet the locals and gather their stories in an effort to gain a better understanding of the complex and diverse cultural territories across Europe.
