What does the future of architectural practice look like? The architecture profession, its traditional concepts, and working methods needs a profound revision to respond to pressing current challenges: Climate change, conservation, conversion, co-production, circular economy, resilience, social cohesion, community, fairness, or demographic change. At the same time, young practices are drafting possible answers.. with INTO STORIES – architecture and beyond, forty five degrees, orto, Polycarbonara, and Studio Malta. Alongside the exhibition, we have been invited to share our perspectives on the future of architectural practice, at a symposium at the ABK Stuttgart. Together with guests and speakers, we discussed in three panels how young architecture practices develop responses to today’s pressing challenges and the importance of transforming architecture education, practice, and institutional structures.
